Electra’s Paul Chung and Whitebox Advisors’ Brent Bertsch will be hosting a “Boardroom” roundtable session at the InvestOps USA Conference taking place March 17-19, 2020 in Tampa on the pros and cons of reconciliation and data outsourcing models available to buy-side investment operations managers.
The session, on the agenda for Day 1 - December 17, 2020 at 4:00 pm, will focus on “How Can You Simplify, Scale and Retain Control of Your Operations with the Right Service Model?” Conference delegates are invited to share their operational challenges, experiences and viewpoints as they relate to reconciliation and data aggregation, such as:
- What steps firms are taking to simplify operations, achieve scalability, reduce risk and cost, and increase productivity
- How much time firms spend investigating trade breaks and exceptions, collecting crucial data, managing feeds/provider relationships, or obtaining accurate cash and position balances
- Trends in outsourcing all or part of reconciliation processes and data aggregation, and the key business outcomes of employing various service models
About the Speakers
Paul Chung is Electra’s Senior Vice President of Client Services and an experienced senior executive with a deep understanding of asset management, technology and customer service. Prior to Electra, Paul spent 17 years working in a variety of capacities across sales, consulting and relationship management in the fintech space. He began his career at Financial Models Company as a consultant delivering performance measurement and reconciliation solutions. Paul is a graduate of Western University in London, Ontario.
Brent Bertsch is Managing Director of Operations for Whitebox Advisors, a global alternative asset management firm based in Minneapolis, MN. He has more than 15 years of experience in buy-side trading operations management and his knowledge spans across hedge fund and trust company environments. Brent has held key positions at Varde Partners, Concordance Capital Management, Deephaven Capital Management, and Wells Fargo.
