Electra Wins 2017 Waters Rankings Awards

July 29, 2017

Electra Information Systems, a specialist provider of post-trade solutions for the buy-side, is honored to have been selected in the 2017 Waters Rankings Awards for two awards:

  • Best Reconciliation Management Provider - for Electra Reconciliation
  • Best Outsourcing Service Provider - for Electra Data

Electra beat a record number of competitors in each category and was selected for the Waters awards by a popular vote of Waters readers and members of the buy-side community. Electra was presented with both awards at a luncheon held July 20th at The Metropolitan Club of New York.

“We want to thank everyone who supported Electra by casting their votes for us,” said John Landry, Electra CEO. “We are honored to have received the Best Reconciliation Management Provider award again in 2017. We built Electra Reconciliation to revolutionize the industry’s approach to reconciliation and broaden its application beyond traditional custodian reconciliation. We are proud of the work we’ve done and this award recognizes how we’ve addressed our clients’ needs for highly sophisticated reconciliation processing.”

This Best Outsourcing Service Provider award recognizes Electra as the industry hub for collecting data from outside parties. Electra’s outsourced data aggregation and transformation service continues to extend its reach with new data sources and new types of data, becoming more and more a one-stop shop for external data for institutional managers, hedge fund and wealth managers. NAV data, portfolio models and compliance data have been added over the past year.

“From our clients’ perspectives, the less time they spend downloading data and cleaning it up to be usable, the more they can spend on higher value activities,” reported John Landry, Electra CEO. “Since the Waters awards are based on client voting, the key to winning is to provide the best overall customer experience. This is especially true in outsourcing where you have to deliver a level of service that improves on the service previously provided in-house. With Electra Data, we are taking on a clearly defined set of functions from our clients, aggregating data from numerous sources, normalizing it for easy digestion and delivering it to the clients’ systems. This is all happening so smoothly that data appears where it’s supposed to be, without the client ever having to worry about it,” added Landry.

Rob Cohen, Tish Wang, AmyClare Gutowsky, Zach Sand and Aaron Robinson accept the 2017 Waters Rankings Awards for Electra.

These awards follow a win earlier in 2017 in the FTF News Technology Innovation awards:
